Iowa | Usually I’m fine till thanksgiving then feel pretty similar. This year has sucked. I’m a seed dsm and farm - we had the flooding in nw iowa sw mn - guys plant and replant till the 20th of July. Then have to settle out accounts and do end of year reporting - of course that’s done, and the new stuff is rolled out, no break, no downtime. My crops look tough, lost a bunch I put cover crop in, markets suck. Was out 20th anniversary, oldest went to college- we had no family vacation, no breaks, no projects got done. Can’t wait to get done and let the snow fly - first time I’ve ever said that. Lots of stuff to tinker with in the shop. My give a damn is busted. Punting this year, hoping next year is different. | |
