I'd sure agree on that. Lack of sunlight gets to me here in southern Iowa, can't imagine what it'd be in Alaska. The grandson of a friend is a firefighter in a small Alaska town to which there are no roads at all.....fly in and fly out. His wife is a nurse, and she's flown out to do housecalls all week to the more remote areas there. This is their plan prior to starting a family.......live and work hard in such an area where the pay scale is quite a bit higher than other areas, save up, and then move back down more south to start their family and live that part of their lives. Wouldn't be for me, but I sure admire their resolve.
