| I called local adm processor on aug 14 and contracted 5000 bu of beans, verbally. Never saw contract in mail. I called them back on the 26th and told them I haven’t gotten a contract. They checked on it and said they had it in system. I sold another 3000 bushels that same day.
Got the contracts for the 3000 bu I sold on the 26th 4 days later but still nothing on the first 5000.
Question is…. Could I consider the first 5k cancelled since I have never gotten anything to sign? The market is in my favor to do so as it’s $.30 higher now. I also know my human nature is such that if it was $.30 lower I’d want it honored.
I will call them and work it out but I was just curious what general consensus was. I figured they’d just not want to work with me in future if I do something they consider not good. | |
