I had a small drum kemper on 492 Claas. Feedroll wear strips needed to be in good shape to keep it feeding well. If you’ve made adjustments for earlage maybe that’s the issue?
Plenty of small drum heads still built and sold. I’m on my second orbis and I’m not sure it feeds any better than a well maintained kemper.
