Subject: Cornhead grease in rear differential ok?

Northern MD
I have an old Toro utility vehicle that has a blown front pinion seal on it's rear axle and finding parts for a 30 year old axle is difficult. Do you think corn head grease would be ok to fill the differential with? It probably tops out at 7-10 mph. The axel appears to be a semi floating design so I guess there should be oil all the way out to the outer bearings if the differential was filled?
