Subject: RE: Shop floor drains

Antwerp, Ohio
I'm in the process of putting up a new shop i used Spee-D channel Drain Assembly draining them into a 2x2 catch basin in the center of the wash bay of the shop. 2nd bay is flat work area. 3rd Bay has a 20 ft center drain in it all drains exit the building with schedule 40 PVC piping. They both have access to be flushed, or rotor rooted out. I have decided to build with 2 x 8 walls should be able to insulate to R48 to R50 in the walls and Ceiling with house rapped. This building has 6" plus concrete floor and 2" of foam insulation under the floor, as far as it being built. When I walk out there after a rain the water is gone within minutes. I think easy clean drains and heat with a match in the winter, but I look at a shop will pay for itself in minimal time. I'm going from a 50 x 50 shop to a new 80 x 132.
