Southeast Colorado | The only thing those drought maps are good for is access to govt programs.
We've been on either side of those deals with varying degrees of accuracy. Right now we're not listed in a harsh drought............but I'd rate actual conditions as a 3 on a 1 to 10 scale..............with 10 being wet. It takes at least a 4 or 5 to grow a crop. Right now we're at the forage stage. The last few days of 100+ and 20 to 30 mph winds have toasted us. | |
