Are your practices exactly the same every year no matter the weather or economic factors?
No not exact same practice every year, but doesn't very much, don't base decisions on if it would create a crop insurance payment. The OP was suggesting, because of a potential crop insurance payment letting corn dry in the field vs harvesting @ 24% and drying it. Which more times than not translates into less bushels harvested, which would = a bigger insurance check. Phantom yield loss is real.
