Maybe or we could actually pass an immigration policy that we've put off doing for a century. Obviously that strategy is a failed one.
Lots of things we could do better.
People have no idea how much immigration is broken.
I am in the Philippines with my wife and us citizen children. First, we had to wait 4.5 years for the philippine government to get my wife to a status so we could even file for us immigration.
Now, in May 2024 we were finally able to file with the US government her immigration papers. It is a 16 to 24 month wait now. In addition to about $2500 USD in fees. I'm fine with the fees, but poorly ran business. Any private business would do better.
Truth is, no one cares. $2500 and they can't do better than 16 months? It's a for profit business.
The general public doesn't understand the mental stress situations like this cause. I am unable to provide for my family, unless I leave a wife and children behind here in Philippines and go to america. |
