I have a field with some acres like that. I could raise very good corn there, but the soybeans would be a disaster. I finally found a soybean variety that tolerates salt a few years ago, and now that is the only variety I put on those acres. It stays green and grows and looks almost as good as the rest of the field not having salt and ph issues. The yield is still about 10 to 20% lower than the best parts of the field, but that is great compared to before having zero to ten bushel yields from other varieties.
