Midwest | Pvafarm - 8/20/2024 07:36 "This was an organic field for 20 years. OM is 3.4. P was 4ppm and K was 44ppm. PH is 7.5 which is pretty normal PH for here. Yes, I know it’s low. My hands are tied farming in Door county. I can’t pour the fertilizer on like you I state guys. I have to submit a NMP by county ordinance. Removal rates is it. Also no manure on less than 24” of soil and this is Summerville soil type. NR 151 rules not mine so the “pile on the manure” is out of the question." You have restrictions on the amount of potassium you can apply to a field in Door Co? Please regurgitate those regulations so I can read through them. You can only apply removal rates of P when you are at 4 ppm? Screenshot those regs and post them here, too. Im curious why they are tying your hands like that.
Anymore, nothing would surprise me as far as farming restrictions in WI and esp Door Co | |
