NWMO
Guys down here in NWMO, SENE, and NEKS have seen an uptick in pollination issues this year also. Our popcorn has especially had issues compared to other types of corn. Some of the organic or weaker mon gmo hybrids have an issue of not dropping the pollen while the silks first come out. This causes a delay in pollination that leads to silk vulnerability that isn’t near as common in more juiced up modern hybrids. If you have a big influx of pests like southern corn root worm beetles or Japanese beetles you can see some pollination issues due to silk clipping.

Also, it just seems like the issues are present this year for whatever reason, even in the yellow corn here. Definitely not looking at record crops down this way this year, but they’ll be decent enough
