Seeing the stripes on the right side of your panoramic picture makes it look to me like you had something come out of your boom as you started spraying. Was that the area that was sprayed first?

It appears that as the boom cleans out the damage starts shrinking until it is gone. So I'd guess some residual was left in your plumbing or boom and caused the damage. Also, the aphids are compounding it.
