Talk to an AgVenture dealer. They sell Corteva genetics. AgVenture test for cold germ and cold saturation on all lots and report this to the regional seed companies reps.

My replants due to poor germ have virtually gone to zero. I feel very confident planting corn early and have seen excellent stands in tough conditions. I have seen test results from late may/early June planted corn that was into great conditions, same hybrid; and the lot with the best cold germ still won the strip trial even without any adverse conditions. I think this matters a lot more than most think. Most other seed dealers will give a blank state when you mention cold germ or cold saturation scores.

Personally I’ve only ran along one other company with similar seed testing standards and that was AXIS seed. But I could Never get their corn to yield as well as what I was putting it against

I second this, I am an AgVenture dealer, going on my second year. That was one of the first things they discussed with me when I was looking at jumping on board. They go through a warm/cold germ test, also a saturated warm/cold germ test and also look for abnormalities. It may test 98% germ but may have 10 abnormalities, that right there could knock your germ down to 88%, they will kick lot out and find a different one for that same hybrid. Really had my eyes opened up when they were talking stand establishment. One of the big reasons why you can get just as good if not better on the yield side of things as any of the big boys because there are more plants per acre established.
