If they didn't even flow then something is wrong. Pears need pruning, peaches need pruning, but apples and cherries should produce something without any care. If they're dwarfs then the commercial orchards grow them in rows a foot apart with bare dirt and irrigation, if they're in sod and not watered they can't compete.
