My replants due to poor germ have virtually gone to zero. I feel very confident planting corn early and have seen excellent stands in tough conditions. I have seen test results from late may/early June planted corn that was into great conditions, same hybrid; and the lot with the best cold germ still won the strip trial even without any adverse conditions. I think this matters a lot more than most think. Most other seed dealers will give a blank state when you mention cold germ or cold saturation scores.
Personally I’ve only ran along one other company with similar seed testing standards and that was AXIS seed. But I could Never get their corn to yield as well as what I was putting it against |
