sw Nebraska | Thanks for all the suggestions. We were primarily dry bean growers with Pintos and Light Red Kidneys but soybeans have come in pretty strong in the last 10 years or so. We still grow some dry beans that have to go straight to the processor. Since we started direct cutting the dry beans they were always desiccated and I just continued that with the Soys. Still put mostly corn in the bins as that is probably 2/3 of our row crop acres but I think saving a bin for the beans might have the best ROI and maybe haul them out and put corn in? Depends on the market outlook at that time. I guess. | |
