Southeast WI
We have plenty of calcareous soil types with native pH of 7.9 to 8.3 and typically (here) these are 4.5 to 7.0% OM black soils. Except for wet years these raise our best crops especially soybeans since they are seldom water limited. We don't have iron chlorosis type issues tho in WI - is that a problem on those soils or what does high pH do there to limit yield?
