SC Minnesota | Tough year to ask this question. With the wet growing season and nitrogen issues, the poorer yields and boat-load of discounts make it hard to cover the cost rent this year. This was one of my worst years for return on wheat, but remember to also look at your crops following the wheat and the bump in yields from adding a third crop into the mix. That usually makes the wheat numbers look better. | |
