Subject: RE: SEIL Soybeans

Northwest Illinois
Our crop rotation is such this year that about 1/3 of our beans are on irrigated ground. We have had very consistent rains up until early August. Last weekend, I finally decided to irrigate them with 1/2 inch of water. That must have triggered mother nature, as we've had 2 rain events since totaling 1 3/4 inches of rain. We have transitioned our farm from owning and feeding hogs to custom feeding hogs. Until this year, we were almost 100% corn acres. I just looked at our records and these fields haven't been planted to beans for 21 years which helps to explain why these fields have looked so good all year.
