Central Illinois | The Calmer rolls do not use more horsepower. We baled stalks last year and did not have any problem. We did add another wrap on each bale. We do have a 15' flail chopper that windrows the stalks. You may be able to just rake your stalks without chopping them. I did notice less but shelling. The stalks do decompose faster.
Make sure you know which shaft size is used for your 612C. Early serial number heads have smaller shafts than the the late models. | |
