How does all this work.Who are speculation an traders.How do they go about determining our markets for our commodities.More insight on this is a welcome.A good education on this would be nice.The funds did this or that.Who are these people an how does it work.



If you have a city cousin who likes to gamble, one option would be for him or her to either buy December corn futures (betting it goes up) OR they could sell December corn futures (betting it would go down).
They would be a speculator!!!! Because they don’t care about corn!!! They want MONEY!

They would then decide when to undo their position.

Obviously they are trying to get money.


That option is available to anyone on the planet who can open an account (cost a few $ per 5000 bu) and maintain the margin money.

There are quite a few folk doing this lol.

It’s not new. It’s just now we are all pissed because it is perceived to be a driving force to falling prices.
(Actually the guys sold to the gills like it)
