North Central Kansas | We hosted two German exchange students. Lea and Johannes. Spent 10 days with the first one in 2012 touring Southern Germany and Austria. It was a great experience. Went back in 2017 and toured North of Frankfurt and over to Berlin and the Netherlands. Their families made all the arrangements and drove us around. The part that I liked the most was that we got to see how the average German lived on a daily basis. We got to visit several farms as they had relatives that farmed. I like to get out and explore a region. I don't like the idea of being restricted by a schedule of when the boat leaves and by the route of the river. | |

Relaxing holiday for those of us a bit older
