This is the last tractor I would chose… I have a buddy who grew up on Allis… last Allis they bought was an 8050. He runs all new holland and case ih now… I was over at his house and he had to start it one fall and that was a hard starting SOB. It had motor and transmission work before he bought it. Allis tractors are a thing of the past.. why would you give someone a headache.

4840 would be a no brainer… looked on Facebook marketplace and you can easily get one for under your budget. I’m not a Deere guy but the 30 and 40 series deeres are starting to be in the same price range as the 90-94 series case and the 86-88 series ih. I need another tractor for grinding hay and it’s tempting to try a green one

I should add… I seen a new holland 8670 mfwd with 7900 hours for sale a month ago… he was asking $35,000. That would be leaps and bounds ahead of what you’re looking for. We run a 8670.

Only thing tomcat said that I would agree with is don’t be colorblind
