We were there a while back. Lake Orion area. They do not allow turns at the intersections with a stoplight. The driver goes up the road, maybe 3 blocks and then they have a left lane that is just for making a u turn. Road is 2 lanes both ways, 35-40 mph traffic. There is an island separating traffic each way. The oncoming traffic even stopped to allow about 8 cars to make the U turn. No light or any thing. Just all stopped for us. Seems a hassard to have people make a U turn that way.
Strange to me road directions north of Detroit.
