East of Broken Bow | They put something like that on the Highway 81 intersection on between Albion and Snyder a couple years ago.
Come to the intersection, you have a STOP sign. If you want to turn right, you turn right, and go.
If you want to turn left, you turn right, go about a quarter mile, and make a U turn which appears would be quite tight with a semi.
The really crazy thing is if you want to go straight through, you still have to turn right, go about a quarter mile, then make a left turn U turn, drive about a quarter mile back, then turn right.
I guess the idea behind it is you only have to worry about traffic from one direction at a time, but it sure doesn't seem to make for the best traffic flow. | |
