We demoed a JF tedder/rake in about 1983? It looked like a 2 spool tedder. But to rake with it the angle of all the teeth were swept back via spring loaded pins, and 2 metal drums were hung on the back. It took 5 minutes and no tools to switch from one to the other. It did a good job of both spreading hay to dry, and raking into a windrow. Financial strains of the 80s prevented purchase. It worked well in both setups. I looked on tractorhouse and could not find one.
Any rake can turn a windrow. Some better than others.
