Wisconsin | Voltage is only part of the story, either something happened to the fencer that it's weak, or the fence is shorted out somehow that the shock doesn't have the power it did before. Get a better fencer, can be solar, can be battery, or plug in. Or try the fencer only on the #4 wire and see if it's got the POP that it should, then figure out what's wrong with #2, or try it with a short length to see if it POPS. I mean the loudness of the zap when you hold a ground wire close to the hot wire. The voltage determines how far it jumps, the POP is determined by how much energy it can deliver. | |
