Subject: RE: 19 Counties in Missouri with Local Option Fence Law

NEMO
In those 19 counties both parties are responsible for the fence even if you do not have or own livestock. You still have to put in and maintain your half the fence.

Hunters, investors, out of state buyers: If you purchase land in Missouri in the local option counties be prepared to put in or maintain a fence. It is a cost of owning land just like paying property taxes. If you don't like it don't own land in those counties.

Also please don't complain when your dead tree falls on the fence and a cow or cows get out and eat your food plot or crop. It happens. I can try to patch and maintain the fence but I have no control over the wind and your dead trees!
