100# brought 215cwt in Ft Collins Colorado. I was happy with that. How’d we do compared to the Midwest guys? Feed on a ground corn/soymeal mix. Shooting for the singles to be 100# in 100 days. The twins and trips are 75-80ish pounds yet. Seams like our wool breeds have been selling above the hair lambs. Our couple of culls didn’t bring anything tho as usual. 20-60 bucks each. I miss the days of selling big heavy fats lambs at Christmas time. 150 pounders. We would load the semi and drive up to Fort Collins then. We raised fats from the 1920s up till 2010 I think. Christmas time is definitely our high point in the market. But lambing in June-July to make it work sucks tho!haha. Iv been happy lambing in March and selling with this 2-2.5# for feeders in July as well.
