If it's heating then I'd try to empty them or at least transfer somehow to move things around.
I agree with others that germ might be affected.

I completely get weed seed or even just green material causing issues. We did my dad's wheat that had some rad weed, Canadian thistle patches, and some clover sticking through (yay for a wet early July...) The seed was 13.5-14.5 in the clean patches, but where I had green stuff coming in there was enough juice squeezed out that it took the seed up to 15-16.

I've had less of an issue with rye since usually that smothers the weeds pretty good. On organic stuff don't be afraid to up the population to keep weeds out.

Congrats on the little one! I get the time in the hospital. We had our first at the end of Feb.
