Remember we are talking about road tripping when using DC fast chargers. Everyday usage, literally takes no time to re-fuel because you just plug in when you leave the car and un-plug when you leave. If using an ICE, you will have several stops at the service station during the same period that an EV, used as a daily commute car won't need to visit the gas pumps. Also remember, there are no oil change intervals where you may need to either deal with that or sit and wait while the shop does it.
