GS2 - 7/26/2024 02:48 I bought a Caterpillar model 12. Before I have got home, I have people asking and calling about doing their driveways, field roads, waterways, basically anything you can think of, I've been asked to do it. What do I charge, once I figure out what I am doing? Not a "I don't want to " rate either, as if it is profitable, why not?

No disrespect - if you are practicing on my drive, rate would be free (although, I wouldn't let someone with no skills practice on my drive) . . . . . If you figure out what to do with the dirt and can operate the machine around $135 - $150 hr. You need to be proficient and know how to be productive. Motor graders are not the easiest thing to operate and be efficient and productive with.  It takes hours of seat time to become good. . . . . .

I'm not sure how it got misconstrued, but I do not plan on taking any work, until I know what I am doing.

As in, I have my own roads or "roads" and waterways to learn on, as that is what I bought it for.
