I agree, Deere got way too greedy. They raised price equipment way more than inflation. The unions also doing to themselves, but can’t blame them when managers are getting record bonuses.Corporate greed that only looks at the next days stock price with no real look to a long term plan. If your salary was tied to how you performed for this year, would you make any sacrifices for a long term? Heard parts of interview with company president today, they are seeing a 20% reduction in orders, that will easily go to 40% next year if crop prices don’t improve. I think everybody was expecting a downturn, very few expected it this fast. There is so many over equipped farms out there that it could go quite awhile before people really need equipment.
