NW Missouri | Do 3000 series case corn heads take the same gathering chains as 1000 series?
I didn't think they did. I have a full set of 1000 series oem on hand from when a dealership went out of business that I never needed to put on and now that I am upgrading to a 3000 series, I thought I might as well sell them. The case site shows different part numbers. But I knew they supposedly worked on some JD heads too, and when I looked it up, all states ag parts shows the same chain will work on IH & CIH heads from the old 800 series all the way up to the 3000 series, as well as several JD models, and obviously the NHs that are clones to the Cases.
Case website for 3408 shows 86978515 chrome 2010 and prior, 86979313 black 2010 and prior, 84284709 2011
For 1083 it shows 176279C91 and that is what I have a set of. But I can't tell if it subs to a different number. Is there actually any difference?
