| Years ago I fed cattle with Van Dale and P & D silo unloaders.
With the Van Dale we could skip doors, the P & D had an auger and I think we changed it every door.
The Van Dale was a pretty good unloader.
From what I remember, the wind was always blowing a bad direction when it was time to change doors, always an updraft.
In later years we had a “clean chute” device that went in the door and the unloader blew the silage down inside a plastic tube.
