I have 40 acres 30 of it has been completely taken over by clover.

I'm thinking of making it into baleage but don't know at what point to get started. It was mowed and baled mid June and has had rained ever since so there's lots of growth. I see no dried flowers so I will assume it's still growing.

Going to be a long process to mow, rake, bale, pickup, haul and wrap by myself so I need to get started asap before the plant matures.

Any cautions on feeding it this winter and to what age group, P3s, fall calvers or replacements? Not going to go back to TMR, will be fed in combination with dry hay.

TIA.

You don't say what kind of clover (I know of at least 4 types there are likely more!!) but what I see in your pics is its getater time.

Re: feeding - - - test the stuff and use where appropriate - - - just like any other hay. You're making baleage so giver.
