So there is no blower, its an auger going vertical then angled one to the down chute? Hard to tell from picture. That should work better than a blower, we used to run one on a 24' silo and the fibreglass gooseneck that the blower shot it to was fragile and the extreme distance felt too far to shoot.


No blower. Horizontal auger brings silage to the center vertical auger. Vertical auger takes it up 4 feet and dumps it onto a conveyor belt that takes it to the chute.

10 hp motor drives the two augers. Blowers hog most of the hp, so this system gives more power for digging. I think this is the 24th unloader they have built.

They had a prototype that used an auger instead of the conveyor belt. It was too heavy and too slow.

They are reporting 1000# per minute of corn silage with their 24' model. I think this one will put out just as much or more, but don't want or need to push it that hard until it is proven.


Is there an easy way to power run the auger system in reverse when it plugs?
