Star Prairie, WI | Out of Cameron, SS south to Hwy 8 west, south on 25 out of Barron (a little hilly and scenic, but it avoids a lot of the vacationland traffic on 8 & 63) to 64, west on 64 to 63 south all the way into MN. 8 west to MN dumps you out north of the Cities, and WI64/MN36 is 4 lane freeway west of New Richmond, and still the Cities issue. Hwy 10 is under construction west of 63 south in the Ellsworth area, so 63 would be my choice for crossing.
Beyond there, can't help much, but most of the county and state roads in southern MN are plenty wide for fairly easy travel with something like you're pulling.
