Even if it looks bad, there's a good chance it will fill back in on it's own, brome is hard to kill. Plus, there is a lot of seed in the ground that could get itself going on it's own when it does rain. As dry as we are, it's likely nothing new is going to establish this year, and I'd be afraid the triticale will out compete the new grass. I'd consider a wait and see approach.
