SW Iowa | We had Masons meet in my small town, when I was a teenager. Maybe once per month and I worked with an old Mason at the time.
They met in an upstairs building. Only way up there was an outside enclosed stairway.
They left the padlock in a hasp outside
We walked past and heard them chanting inside. So we closed the door and snapped the lock. Old Harold told me about it next day at work.
They had to open an upstairs window and send someone outside to slide down the flagpole. He said they were taking the lock inside after that.
But all you needed to do, was drop a bolt into the outside hasp. So we did next time we saw lights on there. Except we greased the flagpole. LOL
Teens being teens.
