Subject: RE: Bale Wrapper

Driftless SW Wisconsin

I've found hay either needs to be real dry (<15%) to wet enough (>35% or so) to ensile when wrapping or there will be mold.

Shed space was also a reason I bought the wrapper. A few years ago I had a shed full of hay and expensive equipment sitting out in a snow bank all winter. Something wrong with this picture. Wrapper was cheaper than building a machine storage shed.

I do like a hundred+ good big dry bales in the shed yet for insurance but that leaves enough room to get the higher-value equipment inside. Wrapper let's me adjust to different weather conditions.
