| Just a thought, if you are already digging the line in you could also dig a pit for a pressure tank and pressure switch. Link below (Full Disclosure: I handle this companies products) for this company that has a float valve that is submerged in the tank with a thermocouple bleeder valve that at about 40 degrees or so (forget the exact temp. maybe a bit lower) that runs enough to prevent it from freezing it up. I know there are pumps, I think they are called Jet pumps that you could even put in the pit rather then in your water source, could also install a "dry" hydrant into the pit, this way anything that needs to be worked on will be in the pit which will be a lot nicer then out on the crib at 20 below.
