| I Was in the same spot as you a few years ago. Used to rent an in-line from the dealer but every time I needed it so did four other guys. They ended up selling it and didn’t replace it right away. So we bought a farm king wrapper. They are simple but slow. Takes two people to operate or it’s even slower. The biggest issue we’ve had with it is the main drive chain being too light and the bales have to be good and solid or they don’t roll and just fall off. Day olds with a flat spot are a no go.
I think we wrapped 400 one year but as few as 100 some years. Nice for small batches. Tube is definitely handier for one man show but takes up a lot of real estate. With individual Stacked three high it’s a third of the space.
I don’t regret this purchase but not sure I would do it again now. By the time I bought the wrapper the bale grabber and plumbed in third function on the loader it wasn’t that cheap. | |
