I am looking at adding a Soil/Mulch finisher for some spring seed bed work. Found a decent looking Sunflower 6333 that has a 6 bar spike harrow on it. Our past experience with field cultivators was a 3 bar spike with a single basket gave us the seedbed. Has anyone ever swapped the 6 bar for a 3 bar with a basket? I plan to try the 6 bar first to see how it works since it’s a different tool but want to have a plan if I get the Sunflower and don’t care for the 6 bar.

In my experience, you won't like the 6 bar. None of my customers ever has, no reason to think you would be any different if you are looking for seedbed finish behind it.

The 6 bar is a high residue harrow for the guys who want to run it in adverse conditions, or try to run them in the fall.
