SE Indiana | Here are some pictures of some jersey cross calves I put on the bottle last June. They are sale barn specials so not real sure what they’re crossed with but I’m really interested to see how they finish. They have been on corn and pellets since day one. In this same group there are some that definitely have more dairy influence. I think that’s going to be the challenge with the crossbreeds is putting together constant groups. I wanted to contract these through my neighbor who is a Tyson buyer but any that had to much of a dairy build would get docked 20cents live weight.
If you wind up buying some of those char/jersey I’d love to see some pictures of them.
