Malta, Illinois | The problem with the conspiracy theory that we never landed on the moon is the overwhelming number of people who were employed as a direct result of the program. There were over 400,000 people employed by the program and some 20,000 industrial firms and universities as well. People just need to let that sink in and think about how you keep 400,000 people and 20,000 industrial firms from ever spilling the beans. It is literally impossible. Someone wondered why we haven't gone back? Should be easier with technology now right? It is the massive cost that is prohibitive. The Apollo program probably cost way too much for what we got out of it but there really is no good reason to send man back there again. We simply can't afford it. | |
