Subject: RE: Non-gmo corn borer control

I have grown non gmo corn for the past several years. Scouting has not uncovered a corn borer issue. We rarely see any corn borer moths flying around because nearly all of the neighboring corn fields have traits to control corn borer.

I remember back in the day when we did spray for corn borer. Scouting was a key. It was critical to get the spray on before the egg masses began to hatch. Once they bored into the plant, the efficacy of insecticides was poor.
