Cliff SEIA - 7/20/2024 19:13 I have a healthy amount of distrust in the government but I assume Russia would have been tracking the flight and would have done anything possible to embarrass us on the world stage by calling us out if it was fake. The space race was one thing that the Soviets had been beating us in and it had to be devastating to them when we landed on the moon.
Not to mention there was thousands of people working for NASA and the sub contractors that would have had to keep the secret and not make a name for themselves. And on tracking flights, Russia for the first time ever actually shared their Luna 15 flight plan mission with NASA so that it and Apollo 11 wouldn't interfere with each other. Luna 15 was suppose to beat Apollo 11 in returning a lunar sample back to earth but it failed and crashed during the ascent while Neil and Aldrin were on the moon. So if Apollo 11 was faked why would Russia do that?? Because it wasn't faked but you will still get idiots saying it was.
