Not saying vertical tillage is right or wrong but around here with the monsoon rains we seem to get every spring the cornstalks would all be in piles or blocking all the drain outlets if a VT tool was used.No till beans here kinda look like what OP stated most years but there's hardly any yield difference come fall between them and conventional till beans.
